Elephantacy Series 3

Elephantacy This series of works by Kausar Iqbal present the ideas on broader scale beyond the cultural boundaries of the East. Elephant and Donkey series of Kausar Iqbal’s work also refers to political symbolism associated to Republicans and Democrats in USA. This exceptional work positions Iqbal not less than Thomas Nast of 21st Century. However, unlike Nast’s Elephant, Kausar’s sacred elephant is no more confused, bruised or ailing. It is not in panic to flee, yet seems composed. Unlike Nast’s Jackass Kausar Iqbal’s Donkey believes in progress, reform and cohabitation realizing the great need for the positive change within his society. Behind his intricate and beautiful rendering lay strong symbolism, convictions which are universal in nature. He intends to communicate the message of love, peace, trust and hope. His elephant depicts a Pakhtoon man with positive attributes, when applied in positive direction, can yield much productivity than using his force in destructive way. He shares his thoughts with his viewers and coming generations through his work.
